Former Edinboro Runner Founds Professional Running Club and Sustainability Group

The Mancos ProjectBenjamin Hahn, ’12, a two-time All-American distance runner while at Edinboro, recently founded and serves as president of a professional running club and team in Mancos, Colorado. His Mancos Project and Team Earth Elite have been selected to be featured in Competitor Magazine, with a circulation of about 400,000.

The Mancos Project, a broad-based endeavor headquartered in southwest Colorado, is fundamentally a running club that values the importance of maintaining a sustainable lifestyle. The core group members (including Team Earth Elite), live together, work an organic garden together, and strive to become more sustainable in their daily lives. All of the project’s members are committed to living a more sustainable lifestyle with members also regularly exercising through endurance-based activities such as running. The project encourages running in the Mancos, Colorado area through weekly community runs, a race series, and by providing training advice to its members.

Hahn, a native of Smethport, Pa., was a Health and Physical Education major while at Edinboro. He achieved All-American status for his outstanding accomplishments in both the sports of Track and Cross Country.
